Lightning Lane prices at Disney World just hit new record highs on four of the resort’s most popular rides. Guests visiting on Sunday, November 1, will pay up to $25 per person for one ride on TRON Lightcycle / Run. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT hits the same record price. Disney released the new prices today, 21 days ahead of the visit date.
These rides use Lightning Lane Single Pass, which works differently from the regular line-skipping option most guests buy. The standard Lightning Lane Multi Pass doesn’t include them, so guests have to pay for each ride separately. Prices change depending on the date, and they climb highest during busy times like holidays. That means $25 is the top price, not what guests pay every day.
New Record Lightning Lane Prices
TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom jumps to $25, up from its previous record of $23. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind climbs from $22 to $25, while Avatar Flight of Passage at Animal Kingdom rises from $19 to $20. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train sees the biggest jump, going from $15 to $18. The previous records date back to the end of October last year. At the new top price, a family of four would pay $100 to skip the line once on TRON.
[As we previously reported](LINK TO PRICE INCREASE STORY), Disney raised prices across Walt Disney World earlier this month, including tickets and annual passes. Disney said then that top Single Pass prices would rise $1 to $3. These new prices are the first time fans are seeing that increase in action. The top price for Lightning Lane Premier Pass also went up $50, to $499 per person. The good news is that Lightning Lane Multi Pass prices at Disney World didn’t change.
Why Prices Are Climbing Now
November kicks off the busy holiday season at Disney World. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Disney Jollywood Nights both start next month, and EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays follows later in November. Demand for line-skipping is already high, too. Lightning Lane Premier Pass sold out at every Disney World park over Columbus Day weekend, even with prices as high as $429 per person.
How to Skip the Fee
Standby lines are still free on all four rides. Rope drop and the last hour of the night usually bring the shortest waits. Guests who want to pay can see Single Pass prices 21 days ahead in the My Disney Experience app. Disney resort guests can buy up to seven days before their stay, while everyone else can buy three days before their visit starting at 7 a.m. Each guest can buy up to two Single Passes per day.
