An Avengers-themed WWE event is coming to Walt Disney World this December, just days before Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters. It is part of a two-day takeover of the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex that also includes the first-ever John Cena Classic.

Marvel Meets WWE

On Tuesday, December 15, WWE will present an Avengers: Doomsday edition of Worlds Collide. The event features top Superstars from WWE, NXT and Mexico’s AAA, though WWE has not announced any matches yet. The pairing fits, since Marvel has used “Worlds Collide” as a tagline for Avengers: Doomsday. Avengers: Doomsday opens in theaters three days later, on December 18. WWE has not said where fans can watch the show.

The John Cena Classic Kicks Things Off

The night before, the inaugural John Cena Classic takes place on Monday, December 14. The event pits WWE’s biggest names from Raw and SmackDown against rising stars from NXT. Club WWE members will vote in real time for the night’s top performer. The show streams on Netflix as a special second edition of Raw, while the regular episode airs from Perth, Australia. Cena announced the event on the November 2 episode of Monday Night Raw in Brooklyn. The sold-out crowd gave him a huge reaction, as you can see below:

The winner will receive a new championship inspired by Cena’s famous spinner belt. Cena also named Cody Rhodes as the first Superstar invited to take part. He plans to pick more participants at upcoming WWE shows. Cena retired from in-ring competition in December 2025, and WWE has not detailed his role at the event.

Fan Experiences and Tickets

Around both events, WWE and Fanatics will host WWE World, a two-day fan experience at the complex. Fans can shop exclusive merchandise and line up for photos and autographs with WWE Superstars. WWE will also sell Avengers: Doomsday co-branded products, including title belts, at WWE World, WWEShop.com and select Disney stores.

Two-day combo tickets go on sale Friday, November 13, at 10 a.m. ET through Ticketmaster. A general presale begins one day earlier, on November 12 at 10 a.m. ET. Disney and WWE teamed up in 2025, when the ESPN app became the U.S. home of WWE’s Premium Live Events. TKO president Mark Shapiro has said the companies are planning more special events for 2027.
