The Magic Kingdom Christmas decorations are officially going up, with garland and wreaths now lining Main Street, U.S.A., just days after Halloween wrapped up at the park. Disney also shared a behind-the-scenes look at the crews who work through the night to bring the holiday magic to life.

Main Street Gets Decked Out

Garland now lines the Main Street train station, along with the Emporium, Crystal Arts and Main Street Cinema. Wreaths hang from the lampposts along the street, and they add a festive touch to the walk toward Cinderella Castle. Some shops have themed touches, too, like the candy-covered wreaths at the Main Street Confectionery. At Casey’s Corner, the wreaths feature tropical fruit as a nod to nearby Adventureland. The Confectionery has also rolled out its holiday treats for the season.

Disney Parks gave fans a peek at how it all came together in a new behind-the-scenes video. Crews worked in the empty park, hanging wreaths and planning how the garland would stretch across Main Street. They also planted the Mickey topiary in front of the train station. The team clearly had fun along the way, as you can see below:

More Holiday Magic on the Way

The Town Square Christmas tree has not gone up yet, and Cinderella Castle is still waiting for its holiday look. Last year, the tree went up the day after the first wreaths appeared. The rest of the park wrapped up its holiday makeover within days.

Jingle Cruise returns to Adventureland on November 3, bringing back its holiday puns through January 4. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party kicks off November 8, the same day Frozen Holiday Surprise returns to Cinderella Castle. Over at Hollywood Studios, Disney Jollywood Nights begins one night earlier on November 7. The official Walt Disney World holiday season runs November 13 through January 6. EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays follows on November 27.

The Team Behind the Transformation

Disney’s Holiday Services team handles the transformation, which usually takes two to three nights at Magic Kingdom. The park’s 65-foot Christmas tree is such a big job that it gets an installation night of its own. According to Disney, Magic Kingdom features 147 wreaths and 590 garlands that stretch more than 5,000 feet during the holidays.
