A new Figment collectible has officially arrived at the Creations Shop in EPCOT. This plastic figure serves as a standalone display piece and functions as a portable bubble machine. It is already proving to be a popular souvenir for the current spring season. Fans are lining up to grab the icon before the initial stock runs out.
Classic Ride Tributes In Every Detail
The design of this bubble machine serves as a love letter to the original 1983 Journey Into Imagination attraction. In his left hand, Figment holds a black pot of gold from the iconic “Realm of Art” scene. His right hand clutches a translucent yellow light bulb representing a “Spark of Imagination.” These specific details offer a nostalgic nod to the Dreamfinder era of the park. Collectors will appreciate the high-quality sculpt that captures Figment’s classic mischievous expression.
Interactive Features Beyond The Bubbles
This new release functions differently than a traditional wand because it can sit upright on any flat surface. Bubbles flow directly from the pot of gold instead of a simple wand tip. The device also features a dual-light system to enhance the effect after dark. One LED illuminates the translucent light bulb in Figment’s hand. A second light shines upward to catch the bubbles as they leave the pot. Take a look at the video below to see the bubble blower in action:
Squeak Heard Around The World Showcase
One of the most unique features is the interactive nature of Figment’s orange horns. The designers used a softer material for the horns compared to the rest of the hard plastic body. If a guest squeezes the horns, the device emits a high-pitched squeak sound effect. This small detail has already made the blower a hit with younger guests and long-time fans alike. It turns the bubble machine into a tactile toy that feels more personal than a standard motor-driven wand.
Perfect For Hands-Free Park Days
Disney included a sturdy purple carrying strap to help guests manage the larger size of the blower. This allows fans to wear Figment around their neck or shoulder while the bubbles continue to flow. The machine takes three AA batteries and features a simple toggle switch for “lights only” or “bubbles and lights” modes. Because it stands on its own, it also makes for a great table-side companion during a meal at the World Showcase.
