Working on a New Script
Bruckheimer broke his silence during a red-carpet interview with Deadline to discuss the sequel’s production status. He offered a clear update regarding the script and his ongoing negotiations with the actor. “We’re talking to Johnny. We’re working on a screenplay, and hopefully we can get this done,” the producer told reporters.
Expanding the Franchise Universe
Industry reports indicate that Margot Robbie is linked to a brand-new protagonist role for the sequel. The studio envisions an evolution of the universe rather than a total reset. Fans have also proposed alternative plot theories, including storylines featuring Jack Sparrow’s son stepping into the spotlight alongside returning legacy characters.
