A video posted yesterday shows a guest diving into the water on EPCOT’s Three Caballeros boat ride. The slow-moving attraction, officially called Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros, sits inside the Mexico Pavilion’s pyramid.

In the video, the guest stands on a platform outside his boat while his friends cheer him on. He then dives into the water as a recorded announcement tells guests to stay in their vehicles. A second clip shows him back in the boat with his clothes and hair soaking wet.

Ride Stopped for About 15 Minutes

According to the person who shared the video, he was the second person to jump in. The ride stopped for about 15 minutes, but the poster said no security was waiting when the group got off. Another rider caught the jump on camera, as you can see below:

It’s still unclear what happened to the group afterward. One outlet reported that Disney said the guest and his party were trespassed, which means they’re banned from the property. However, Disney hasn’t confirmed that publicly, and other outlets report that Disney hasn’t shared any details. Some viewers also suspect the video is AI-generated, though a follow-up clip shows him soaked in the boat.

Why Jumping In Is So Dangerous

The water on the ride is shallow, with ride equipment hidden beneath the surface. That means a headfirst dive like this one could have easily ended in serious injury. The attraction also has no height requirement, so boats are often full of families with young kids. It also happened during the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.

Not the First Time

As we previously reported, a guest jumped out of his log on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom last week. He bailed out right before the ride’s 50-foot drop, bringing the attraction to a sudden stop. Disneyland has dealt with similar problems on its version of the ride. It has since added 12 signs throughout the attraction reminding guests to stay seated.

Gran Fiesta Tour has seen this kind of trouble before, too. In 2023, a woman jumped off the moving ride after arguing with people on her boat. The ride opened in 2007, replacing El Río del Tiempo, which debuted with EPCOT in 1982. It follows Donald Duck, José Carioca, and Panchito from Disney’s 1944 film The Three Caballeros.
