Disney officially announced the opening date and full musical lineup for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets this morning. The reimagined attraction will debut at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May 26, 2026, featuring Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem. This transition marks the end of the long-running Aerosmith era as the Muppets take over G-Force Records. Fans have eagerly waited for details on which classic tracks would survive the transition to the new Muppet-themed experience. The revealed set list promises a high-energy mix of rock and roll classics performed with a unique Muppet twist.
The Electric Mayhem Set List Confirmed
The new ride experience features five distinct tracks, with a different song playing in each specific ride vehicle. Riders might hear a high-octane cover of “Song 2” or “Born to Be Wild” featuring Camilla the Chicken. Disney also revealed a special version of “Love Rollercoaster” that includes guest vocals from Jennifer Hudson and Questlove. For fans of classic rock, a collaboration with Def Leppard on “Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop)” highlights the lineup. These recordings ensure that every launch from 0 to 57 mph feels as chaotic and musical as a Muppet production.
A Star-Studded Queue And Pre-Show Experience
The attraction’s queue and pre-show have undergone a complete transformation to reflect the Muppet Labs aesthetic. Scooter now manages the chaotic recording sessions at G-Force Records as Kermit and the gang scramble to reach their concert. The reimagined space includes dozens of celebrity cameos, including appearances by John Stamos, Danny Trejo, and Awkwafina. Guests will also spot Wayne Brady, Travis Barker, and Neil Patrick Harris throughout the interactive hallway displays. These cameos replace the previous band footage, grounding the attraction in the modern Muppet universe.
Visual Overhaul Of The Iconic Guitar And Limos
The exterior of the attraction features a vibrant new look that honors the Electric Mayhem’s psychedelic style. Crews repainted the massive red guitar with a swirling, multi-colored design and added a golden piano key base to represent Dr. Teeth. The ride vehicles, formerly known as super-stretch limos, are now “Lengthy Immediate Motion Objects” designed by Bunsen and Beaker. These updated vehicles feature a new metallic flake finish that changes color under the blacklight conditions of the ride. These visual touches help transform the Sunset Boulevard landmark into a destination for Muppet fans.
Launching Alongside A Massive Summer Expansion
The May 26 opening coincides with a historic day for Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the surrounding resort. This date also marks the grand opening of Bluey’s Wild World and the new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse interactive show. By grouping these openings together, Disney is positioning the park as the primary destination for families this summer. The rebranding of the Walt Disney Studios Courtyard adds another layer of excitement to the holiday weekend festivities. Crowds are expected to reach capacity as guests rush to experience the first major coaster retheme in nearly two decades.
Preserving The High-Speed Thrills Of G-Force
While the theme has changed, the technical specifications of the roller coaster remain exactly the same for thrill-seekers. The ride still features its signature 2.8-second launch and three inversions through the darkened streets of Los Angeles. Imagineers worked to sync the new musical arrangements perfectly with the existing track layout to maintain the ride’s intensity. The post-show gift shop now features exclusive Electric Mayhem tour merchandise to commemorate the new experience. Longtime fans of the original ride will find that the spirit of rock and roll lives on through the Muppets.
