The spell has been cast. Disney officially confirmed that Oogie Boogie Bash returns to Disney California Adventure for 2026. This fan-favorite after-hours event will run for a record-breaking 33 nights this season. The spooky festivities kick off earlier than ever on August 18. They will continue on select nights through Halloween night on October 31, 2026. This expansion reflects the massive popularity of the event. Tickets consistently sell out every single year.
Official event hours run from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. However, ticket holders can enter the park as early as 3:00 PM. This “mix-in” period provides three extra hours of park time before the party starts. The 2026 event dates include:
- August: 18, 20, 23, 25, 27, 30
- September: 1, 3, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 27, 29
- October: 1, 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27, 29, 31
Syndrome Debuts At Pixar Pier
Disney announced a major update for 2026. Syndrome from The Incredibles will make his official debut at the bash. The iconic villain will haunt a brand-new immersive treat trail at Pixar Pier. This addition should thrill fans who have requested the character for years. Other confirmed villains return to the treat trails as well. These include Yokai in San Fransokyo Square and Maleficent near Grizzly Peak. The ever-popular Dr. Doofenshmirtz will also appear in Hollywood Land.
The immersive treat trails anchor the event experience. Guests interact with rare characters while collecting candy. Beyond the trails, the event features the Frightfully Fun Parade. The atmospheric Villains Grove walkthrough also returns to the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. Disney even provided a sneak peek at exclusive 2026 merchandise. The collection includes a neon-stitched Oogie Boogie hoodie. It also features tie-dye apparel with Jack Skellington and Sally.
Important Ticket Sale Dates
Securing tickets requires careful timing. They typically sell out within hours of release. Disney confirmed the following windows for ticket sales. All queues begin at 9:00 AM PT:
- June 16: Inspire Magic Key Holders (Pre-sale)
- June 17: All Magic Key Holders (Pre-sale)
- June 18: General Public (Expected)
Official pricing tiers are still pending. However, guests should expect a starting price of around $139. Peak nights near Halloween could reach $199. Because this is a separately ticketed event, guests do not need a standard theme park reservation. However, visitors still need regular admission if they wish to visit the parks earlier in the day.
