New court records reveal the details of a physical confrontation that led to the arrest of a British tourist at the Magic Kingdom. While the incident occurred on February 20, 2026, the official investigation report only became public this week. Keith Richard Newman, 47, faces a battery charge following a heated dispute in the queue for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The unsealed documents provide a clear look at how a common disagreement over line-cutting escalated into a criminal matter.

The Conflict At Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

The confrontation began when an 18-year-old woman from St. Cloud tried to move through the standby line. She told deputies she was simply trying to catch up with the rest of her party further ahead in the queue. As she attempted to pass Newman, he blocked her path and told her, “There is a queue.” This verbal warning quickly turned physical when the victim tried to navigate around him to reach her family.

A Double-Handed Shove Leads To Arrest

According to the arrest report, Newman did not stop at a verbal warning. When the victim tried to move forward, Newman allegedly used both hands to forcefully shove her backward. The force of the push caused the woman to fall into a friend standing behind her. While she did not suffer significant physical injuries, the fall caused her to spill her water bottle all over herself. The victim’s friend corroborated this account, stating Newman initially used one arm before using both hands to shove the victim. You can see the mug shot of the man below:

The Suspect’s Defense And Witness Statement

During the investigation, Newman admitted to blocking the victim but denied any intentional pushing. He told Orange County deputies that he simply stuck his hand out and the victim “walked into his hand.” Law enforcement did not find this explanation credible after interviewing independent witnesses. These witnesses confirmed that Newman’s actions were unprovoked and forceful. Based on these statements, deputies found probable cause to arrest Newman for misdemeanor battery.

Court records from the Orange Circuit Court show that Newman has officially pleaded not guilty to the battery charge. Despite the plea, the legal process is moving forward as Disney maintains its zero-tolerance policy for physical violence. In addition to the criminal charge, Newman received a formal trespass warning. This effectively bans him from all Walt Disney World Resort properties for life. Disney continues to prioritize guest safety by strictly enforcing these rules during crowded park days.
