Chief Flight Attendant Patrick has officially cleared the hangar. Guests at Disney California Adventure were stunned to see Patrick Warburton riding Soarin’ Over California yesterday. This surprise visit occurred on the first day of the park’s 25th-anniversary celebration. Warburton has been the face of the attraction’s safety video since 2001. His role is an essential part of the Soarin’ experience.
The Return Of The Original Flight Path
The appearance coincided with the return of the original Soarin’ Over California film. This fan-favorite version replaces Soarin’ Around the World for a limited time. Fans can once again enjoy the smells of orange groves and pine forests. You will glide over the Golden Gate Bridge just like opening day. Disney schedules this classic overlay to run daily through July 1, 2026. This gives guests several months to relive the magic.
Spotted In Line For Takeoff
Warburton did more than just a quick photo op. Guests saw him waiting in the attraction’s queue like a regular visitor. Witnesses spotted him with a VIP Tour Guide and a small entourage. He reportedly waited for specific seats to film promotional content for the anniversary. His presence in the hangar created a massive buzz. Many fans quoted his famous “nice work, pal” line as he walked by. Take a look below:

The Future: Soarin’ Across America
The original film is back for now, but big changes are coming. Disney recently announced a brand-new overlay called Soarin’ Across America. This new experience debuts on July 2, 2026. Disney is launching it to celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States. It will feature updated aerial footage of iconic American landmarks. The show will premiere simultaneously at both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World.
