A massive new partnership is officially underway. Hallmark Channel and Walt Disney World are teaming up for a major Christmas movie event. The new original film is titled Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True. It will star Hallmark fan-favorite Lacey Chabert and Travis Van Winkle. This collaboration marks the first-ever original film between the two entertainment powerhouses.
A Wish, a Rivalry, and Romance
The story follows a classic Hallmark plot with a magical Disney twist. The plot centers on Lindsey and Philip, two people who had a disastrous first date. They are accidentally reunited at Walt Disney World during Christmas. Lindsey and Philip find their rooms located next door to each other.
Their rivalry quickly thaws into romance as their paths continue to cross around the park. This romance reportedly stems from a pivotal wish Lindsey makes at the iconic Cinderella Fountain in Magic Kingdom. Filming is currently underway and weaving the story through real holiday moments across the property.
Star Power and Premiere
The film boasts a strong supporting cast heading to Florida. Christy Carlson Romano and Richard Kind have joined the production. The movie is scheduled to premiere in 2026. It will debut during the Hallmark Channel’s 17th annual Countdown to Christmas programming event.
Expanding the Magic
The partnership also highlights the deep history between the two brands. The connection dates back decades to a friendship between Walt Disney and Hallmark founder J.C. Hall. This relationship led to Hallmark’s creation of the first-ever licensed Mickey Mouse greeting card.
The collaboration will extend beyond the screen. Next holiday season, a co-branded merchandise collection is also coming to stores. This collection will feature greeting cards, ornaments, gifts, and gift wrap inspired directly by the film.
