Disney has officially announced a massive new film experience for its beloved flying theater attraction. Soarin’ Across America debuts in Summer 2026. It will play at both EPCOT in Florida and Disney California Adventure Park. This special presentation will be the centerpiece for Disney’s celebration of the nation’s upcoming 250th birthday. This milestone is known as the Semiquincentennial.
This ambitious project kicks off Disney’s “Disney Celebrates America” campaign. The coast-to-coast effort spans from Veterans Day 2025 through the July 4, 2026 weekend. Imagineering aims to capture the heart, spirit, and vast diversity of the entire nation. Guests will fly from “sea to shining sea,” showcasing America’s most stunning natural landscapes and iconic urban areas.
Coast-to-Coast Beauty and Cityscapes
The creative team filmed new, high-definition footage for months. They utilized advanced camera technology mounted on helicopters and heavy-lift drones. The goal is to provide a comprehensive, emotional portrait of the country. Over a dozen breathtaking scenes will link seamlessly. This domestic flight includes all the signature elements of the Soarin’ experience. Guests will still feel the exhilarating synchronized motion of the hang glider. They will view the stunning visuals on the massive 80-foot domed screen. Fans can anticipate an all-new patriotic musical score. Carefully deployed sensory scents will fully immerse riders in the various locales.
Patrick Warburton will reprise his role as Chief Flight Attendant. He will bring his familiar touch of humor to the pre-flight safety briefing. This film is a limited-engagement presentation tied specifically to the Semiquincentennial. This stunning, memorable tribute is one you won’t want to miss. New Americana-themed merchandise will debut in the parks starting in May 2026.
