Walt Disney World confirms President Donald Trump will once again have a speaking role in Magic Kingdom’s iconic Hall of Presidents attraction. The beloved Liberty Square show officially reopened Sunday, June 29, 2025, following a five-month refurbishment that began on Inauguration Day, January 20, 2025.
Trump’s appearance continues a longstanding tradition. Like presidents since Bill Clinton, his Audio-Animatronic figure delivers a recorded performance of the presidential oath of office, cementing his place in the historical lineage presented in the attraction. The existing Donald Trump animatronic from his first term will feature in this updated presentation.
The Hall of Presidents has been a Magic Kingdom staple since the park’s opening in 1971, meticulously updating with each new U.S. President. The show brings all U.S. Presidents to life through Audio-Animatronics, with George Washington and the sitting president typically delivering spoken parts. This marks a unique moment as Trump is the only president since Grover Cleveland to serve non-consecutive terms. Take a look at the video below to see the initial debut of the Donald Trump Audio-Animatronic in the Hall of Presidents, which occurred in December 2017 after a lengthy refurbishment.
Disney opted to uphold the attraction’s tradition despite previous speculation about its future or potential changes to the speaking role format. This decision ensures continuity for one of Walt Disney World’s most historical and educational experiences.
Guests visiting Magic Kingdom can now experience the updated Hall of Presidents, reflecting the current state of American leadership in this grand, patriotic show.
