This is more than just an anniversary. In fact, it’s a resort-wide party bursting with limited-time entertainment. A Symphony of Spectacles: Unforgettable Entertainment
Disneyland has always been famous for its world-class entertainment. As a result, for the 70th Celebration, they are pulling out all the stops.
A New Theme Song for a New Era
First, the festivities are anchored by a brand-new theme song. None other than the Jonas Brothers perform the infectiously upbeat “Celebrate Happy.” You’ll hear this catchy tune woven throughout the celebration. In addition, you can stream it now on the “Music From Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration” album.
At Disney California Adventure Park:
- “World of Color – Happiness!”: Prepare to be moved by an all-new “World of Color” show. Walt Disney’s timeless dedication, “To all who come to this happy place… welcome!,” inspired this new spectacular. The show is hosted by Joy and her fellow Emotions from Pixar’s “Inside Out” films. Consequently, this nighttime spectacular is a journey through the many colors of happiness. A Journey Through Beloved Stories Along the way, the Emotions manifest music and moments from other favorite Pixar Animation Studios’ stories, including “Turning Red” and “The Incredibles.” You will also experience Walt Disney Animation Studios’ stories, including “A Goofy Movie,” “Tangled,” “Encanto” and so many more. “World of Color – Happiness!” transforms Paradise Bay with a brilliant array of signature fountains, dynamic lighting, colorful lasers, fog and dramatic flame effects, painting musical memories with all the wonder that only “World of new” can create.
- Star-Studded Contributions: The show features legendary R&B vocals from Boyz II Men on a new version of “Rainbow Connection.” Furthermore, FITZ of Fitz and the Tantrums debuts a brand-new song. It’s truly a must-see experience. Before the show, get ready for some hilarious safety instructions from The Muppets! Finally, be sure to have the Disneyland app ready. You can vote for which Emotion gets a special highlight in that evening’s performance.
- “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!”: Your favorite Pixar pals are back! This vibrant daytime parade fills the streets with characters from “Luca,” “Up,” and more. Ultimately, it celebrates the heartwarming power of friendship.
At Disneyland Park:
- “Paint the Night” Parade: It’s back! By popular demand, a fan-favorite nighttime parade returns. It will light up Main Street, U.S.A. with over a million brilliant LED lights. For instance, you can watch as Mickey and Tinker Bell paint the night with dazzling floats. They feature characters from “Monsters, Inc.,” “The Little Mermaid,” and, for the first time since its initial run, Anna and Elsa on their breathtaking “Frozen” float.
- “Wondrous Journeys”: This beloved nighttime spectacular also returns. It transforms Sleeping Beauty Castle and Main Street into a magnificent canvas. The show celebrates the entire legacy of Walt Disney Animation Studios, from “Peter Pan” to “Encanto.” On select nights, fireworks will enhance the show even more.

- “Tapestry of Happiness”: Each night, the façade of “it’s a small world” becomes a beautiful mosaic of memories. This projection show is a love letter to seven decades of Disneyland attractions, all in a style inspired by artist Mary Blair.
- “The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade”: Get ready to dance in the streets. This all-new character cavalcade winds its way through the park. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Max are all here in their sparkling 70th attire. They are even joined by rarely-seen friends like Duffy and ShellieMay!
A Resort Transformed: Dazzling Anniversary Décor
You’ll be enveloped in the celebration from the moment you arrive. The esplanade between the parks features a stunning 50-foot sculpture. In addition, Main Street, U.S.A. is draped in multi-colored banners and bunting. Look for an elegant 70th medallion adorning Sleeping Beauty Castle itself. Over at Disney California Adventure, Carthay Circle Restaurant also shimmers each evening with a special light and projection show.
